What is BNFCR?
BNFCR: The Basics
BNFCR (Binance Futures Credits) is a balance asset that appears in some Binance Futures accounts. It is designed to hold a roughly USD-stable value — like a stablecoin — but with one big difference: it lives only inside Binance Futures. You cannot send BNFCR to a wallet, trade it on another exchange, or use it on a public blockchain.
When you trade on Binance Futures, your margin and profits are usually held in USDT, USDC — or, for some accounts, BNFCR.
Why Do You Have BNFCR?
- You trade (or traded) on Binance Futures, and Binance credited part of your balance in BNFCR.
- You did not "buy" BNFCR — Binance assigned it as part of your trading balance. It is not an asset you chose to purchase.
- Binance calls this "Binance Futures Credits Trading Mode". In its own words: "Under Binance Futures Credits Trading Mode, all USDT or USDC contracts' PNL, margin and fees will be displayed as Credits labeled 'BNFCR'."
BNFCR vs. Stablecoins (USDT, USDC)
| Feature | BNFCR | USDT | USDC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where it lives | Binance Futures only | Public blockchains, everywhere | Public blockchains, everywhere |
| Can you withdraw it on-chain? | No — locked to Binance | Yes | Yes |
| Can you hold it in your own wallet? | No | Yes | Yes |
| Liquidity | Limited to Binance | Massive | Large |
The main difference: BNFCR is locked to Binance. Mainstream stablecoins move freely across blockchains and exchanges.
How to Convert BNFCR
- On Binance (if available for your account) — Binance's own Futures Credits FAQ states: "BNFCR cannot be withdrawn directly, however, it can be swapped to BTC, ETH, or BNB before withdrawal." The swap sits in the Assets module of your Futures wallet; afterwards you transfer the BTC/ETH/BNB to Spot. Note the same FAQ also says "BNFCR cannot be swapped to USDT" — there is no direct BNFCR → stablecoin route.
- Via bnfcrconvert.com — our non-custodial utility instructs the official Binance Futures Convert API on your own account (using an API key you create) to swap BNFCR → BNB. The BNB lands in your own Binance Futures wallet; nothing ever passes through us. Fee: 0.5%, minimum 5.00, maximum 10.00 USDT/USDC per conversion. See the 3-step guide.
- Trade it — if your Binance Futures account still allows it, trading against your BNFCR-margined balance is a further option.
Is BNFCR Valuable?
BNFCR is designed to track the US dollar, so 1,000 BNFCR represents roughly 1,000 USD of face value. The catch is usability, not value: as long as it sits in BNFCR form, it is locked to Binance Futures. Converting changes the form — the value doesn't disappear.
Safety & Non-Custodial Conversion
If you use bnfcrconvert.com:
- We never hold your BNFCR or your BNB — Binance executes the swap internally on your own account; the assets never leave your Binance Futures wallet.
- We never ask for your Binance password — only an API key you create yourself, with minimum permissions ("Enable Futures"), IP access either unrestricted or restricted to our server IP
46.101.148.146, and which you should delete immediately after the conversion. - Your API secret is never stored — it is used transiently per request over HTTPS and discarded.
- No tracking — no cookies, no analytics, no trackers.
